If you haven't got it yet, it's worth pointing out that this month's copy of Uncut is a recommended purchase, if only once more for the covermounted CD. and the cover-mounted CD is recommended if only for the inclusion of Hotcha Girls by Ugly Casanova, which is taken from the Sub Pop album Sharpen Your Teeth. It reminds me a lot of Pavement in that at its heart is a beautifully simple melody but it's given a performance and arrangement which threatens at any stage to veer into more unusual territories. I'm very intrigued as to whether the rest of the album lives up to the undeniable promise of this track. Anyone wanna clue me in?
