Jessica White: Black Is The New Black. Or SomethingParallax Blue

Black Girls Rule! Or so says uber-trendy style mag Trace in this month's issue and who is Parallax View to argue? The cover model is Jessica White and she can be seen to even more jaw-dropping effect in this Sports Illustrated swimsuit pictorial (possibly not safe for work).

The new Matrix movie has pushed another big girl into the limelight - Monica Bellucci. Sci-fi geeks will be pleased to note that The News Of The World has not been slow in dredging up some of the nude highlights of her career to date (definitely not safe for work). You have to agree it's a pretty impressive body of work (link will probably only work for about a week). Of course last year Monica was the talk of Cannes (and indeed PV) for her role in Irreversible (out on DVD in the UK May 26th, uncut as far as I know) in which she was graphically raped in a nine-minute sequence which left some audience members physically sick.

Gallo and Sevigny making like wabbits in The Brown BunnyAt this year's Cannes the controversy looks likely to be about The Brown Bunny Vincent Gallo's follow-up to Buffalo 66 which apparently includes scenes (including a rape and an oral sex sequence) that are the most graphic ever to be shown in the Official Competition. Indie icon Chloe Sevigny (right), no stranger to this kind of controversy after her roles in Larry Clark's Kids and lesbian drama Boys Don't Cry co-stars.

I'm very definitely more nervous about the upcoming series of Big Brother 4 (starts this Friday) than any self-respecting 39-year-old should own up to. But trust those crazy Norwegians to get reality TV back to basics - after all, all's ya need is a decent pair of tits, a bedroom, and 24/7 coverage, right?

Parallax View will take its mind out of the gutter and return to normal service tomorrow, which hopefully with a fair wind will include the much-trailed album review compendium. And the webcam will be updated with a picture of a flying pig. Possibly.
