So anyway last night I became possibly the last sentient being in the universe to watch The Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring thanks to the lovely Mo from work who took pity on me and lent her VHS copy to me so I could be accepted back(?) in society again. As I am arguably the last man on earth to watch this cross between Jason and The Argonauts and Star Wars there seems little point in doing an extended review. Suffice to say that the 170m duration seemed to whizz by pretty fast and I'm looking forward to seeing the next instalment when it comes out just before Xmas.
And is it me being mischievous or was Liv Tyler's blink-and-you'll-miss-it performance as Viggo Mortenson's love interest rather badly overdubbed? Certainly didn't sound like her to me. I'm sure there's got to be at least one LOTR fanatic reading this who could let me know.
