Following Grant McLennan's untimely death last week Sweeping The Nation provides an Illustrated Guide To The Go-Betweens.

Respect due also to Clor who announced their split this week, and whose undervalued debut album remains one of Dead Kenny's favourites from 2005. We'll miss them and their fizzy pop hooks, not to mention their dapper red trews.

And, finally...Paper-Jam, glitch-free cultural blogging with a predominantly West Midlands emphasis. And not an engineer in sight!

Yes, indeed, Clor retracted. Was quite looking forward to see them again at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, as well.

Clor: didn't quite get them when they supported Stephen Malkmus, but then I still think that was mainly because I hadn't heard the album or even any of the singles at the time. An odd pop band, and one we could have done with having around for a bit longer.
