The Linkdump Truck Farewell Turning Circle 2004

It's not just love that comes like surprise ice on the waters, it's also sudden departures from articulate trucks. Said vehicle was last seen in the Hare Krishna tent at Glasto, tyres shaven and chanting 'The wheels on my truck go round and round' with an assortment of bald-headed ninnies. I told him not to touch that carrot cake.

Still time, though, to digest the final despatches from the LDT, the hairy cornflake for dyslexics -

The Passenger's Journal is driven by some quality links, including links to mp3s of the new Libertines single (a mess, but redeemed by a catchy chorus); an exclusive track from the new Interpol album (very fucking good, indeed) and The Delgados' version of 'Mr Blue Sky' from last year's Peel session. All good stuff, backseat blogging at its very best.

Apparently, the 50 quid bloke isn't an urban myth made up by David Hepworth when he hadn't got anything worthwhile to write about that week, because 50 Quid Bloke Lives! And blogs about it, natch.

Dave McGurgan is another blog worth checking out, as he links about things that other people don't, like electric strimmers and Shellac.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the trailer for the new Spike Lee joint She Hate me is online. A Spike Lee joint about lesbians? That's sure to offend a few people. And seeing as it's billed as a comedy, and bearing in mind previous Spike 'laff-fests', the people it's gonna offend most are those with a sense of humour.

He was getting heavy, already as heavy as can be, and now Superman's dad RIP.

Summer's here, folks. While you're busy pining for Channel 4 to resume the first series of The OC, check out Rachel Bilson in Stuff Magazine (borderline safe for work). Sadly. no sign of her Wonder Woman costume, though.

Here's the synopsis of Helen Walsh's forthcoming second novel. More Helen Walsh goodness can be found on this audio interview with the BBC (requires Realplayer).

Rough Trade are bizarrely holding back its UK release until September, but eager beaver Fiery Furnaces fans can get hold of their second album 'Blueberry Boat' on import from July 16. The anticipation at the Parallax View homestead is thermonuclear.

Synopsis of new Douglas Coupland book 'Eleanor Rigby', due out this Autumn. Who'd have guessed he'd have found the time to write another novel, when he's busy single-handedly solving Canada's image problem, huh?

Well done to everybody for voting to keep Michelle's baps in the Big Brother house for one more week. Gos the fat chef from BB4 now has his his own website complete with messages from all those forgettable housemates from last year (Federico is still banging on about his penis being actually 'quite big' thank you very much, Fed, give it up mate, we'd all forgotten about your little willy until you mentioned it again) but presumably doesn't include any dieting tips. Meanwhile, new housemate Bekki Seddiki has her own site plugging her so-so music (link possibly NSFW because music automatically plays on loading).

So here's mud in your axles, Linky...
