The Linkdump Truck Redux

Following his debut performance last week, the Linkdump Truck has been inundated with requests for contact details, PR appearances etc. Sadly, he has had to decline these overtures as he's a little publicity-shy after the paparazzi captured that unfortunate incident with David Hasselhoff outside a London nightclub.

However, links stacked up in the Parallax View storage depot this week include -

West Ham Celebrity Fan Hall Of Fame. Because, if you're like me, what you really needed this fine Saturday night, was another reason to want to sleep with Louise Wener...

Watch the spiffy trailer for Pixar's upcoming superhero animation The Invincibles.

Steve Lamacq, no cineaste he. The 6music DJ admits to having seen only 13 films at the cinema, despite being in his late thirties. Even more candidly, he admits one of those films was sub-standard Stephen King adaptation The Lawnmower Man. His excuse? Making up a foursome, but the girl didn't put out. Which is enough to send anyone scurrying home to their Wedding Present record collection, I guess.

Staying with The Independent, attractions don't come much more, um, forth coming than Michael (24 Hour Party People) Winterbottom's 9 Songs which follows a young couple gigging and frigging, and features the first ejaculation in mainstream British cinema.

From the no-shit-Sherlock department: US police investigating the mysterious death of a Scotsman are considering possible link with box of lethal snakes found nearby.

Juliana Hatfield talks about her new album In Exile Deo.

Atlantic Records have announced they are to shed 85 acts from their various rosters. Groups under threat include PV faves The Stills. 6Music's Mark Sutherland urges a rethink.

Another trailer, this time Jonathan Demme's not-entirely-necessary remake of the Frankenheimer classic The Manchurian Candidate starring Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep.

The debut solo ep from Slowdive and Mojave 3 star Rachel Goswell is available electronically, complete with artwork.

Neat, concise blogging available within The Antproof Case.

Album reviews to follow shortly, including my 'unmissable' verdicts on the new records by Morrissey and The Streets. Oh, and the Linkdump Truck has reminded me to mention that a couple of the above links were donated by a Large Hearted Boy.

And did anyone else feel faintly embarrassed when Moz acknowledged the crowd applause on last night's Later With Jools Holland with 'yowsa!' Yowsa?! Kill Uncle indeed...
