The Linkdump Truck Redux
Following his debut performance last week, the Linkdump Truck has been inundated with requests for contact details, PR appearances etc. Sadly, he has had to decline these overtures as he's a little publicity-shy after the paparazzi captured that unfortunate incident with David Hasselhoff outside a London nightclub.
However, links stacked up in the Parallax View storage depot this week include -

Steve Lamacq, no cineaste he. The 6music DJ admits to having seen only 13 films at the cinema, despite being in his late thirties. Even more candidly, he admits one of those films was sub-standard Stephen King adaptation The Lawnmower Man. His excuse? Making up a foursome, but the girl didn't put out. Which is enough to send anyone scurrying home to their Wedding Present record collection, I guess.
Earlier this year, I reported on the shock news that high-profile sports journalist and West Ham fan Rob Shepherd had been sent down for violent conduct. The story appears to be heading towards a happier resolution as Shepherd has been released on a tag and has landed a job with new gambling magazine Inside Edge.
Staying with The Independent, attractions don't come much more, um, forth coming than Michael (24 Hour Party People) Winterbottom's 9 Songs which follows a young couple gigging and frigging, and features the first ejaculation in mainstream British cinema.
From the no-shit-Sherlock department: US police investigating the mysterious death of a Scotsman are considering possible link with box of lethal snakes found nearby.
