Touching The Propeller by Dawn Of The Replicants. Thank God that DOTR are back, if only to show those hacks drooling over The Coral what a genuinely odd and eccentric band actually sounds like. The juxtaposition between Paul Vickers' shambolic seemingly-making-it-up-as-he-goes-along vocal delivery and the complex musical arrangements makes for yet another beguiling, barmy and brilliant album from the Galashiels mavericks. Some damn fine tunes too.
