Let's be honest, it's piggin' horrible out there tonight, and it's not going to get much better for months. Added to this, a slight tweaking of my work schedule means that earlier nights and earlier starts will be required in the Parallax View household. Hopefully, this won't affect the regularity and quantity of posts on this site too much.
Still, if anything can keep my spirits up it's this picture of Holly Valance (left) at a Radio 1 pop event at the weekend, taken from The Sun. Winter draws on, but let's hope the Antipodean actress/singer is warm-blooded enough not to have to wrap up too snugly over the coming months, eh?
And if you're still looking for something to cheer you up, Nick Jordan's tale of riding his bike with a large metal compost bin on his back should raise a chuckle or two.
Failing that, why not pay a visit to Scotblog and leave a comment of...erm...condolence for their national side's pitiful display against the mighty Faroe Islands at the weekend. Some people say their manager Bertie (Mc)Vogts isn't capturing the true Scottish spirit. On the contrary, I have it on poor authority that in the post-match team-talk/post-mortem Bertie fashioned a note-perfect impression of Private Fraser from Dad's Army. Altogether now: 'We're alllllll dooOOOOOOMMMMMED!!!'
