
The first few tracks I ever heard from Gemma found me agreeing with media comparisons to the likes of Dido and Beth Orton. But the rumbling guitars and brooding melody of Let A Good Thing Go owe more to early Alanis; Peej Harvey and (most of all) Tanya Donnelly's 90s incarnation Belly.
Not a Top 40 candidate then, but a treat for the ears nonetheless.
