Readers with access to British TV have a couple of things to set their VCRs to record later tonight: first up, Olav from It Makes No Difference makes an appearance on this quiz show on Channel 4 at 8pm (just before the Big Brother eviction show*). Then Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Grandaddy are amongst the bands on Later With Jools Holland on BBC2 at 11.35pm. And in a bit of intertextuality that frankly even makes my head spin Olav reviews the new Grandaddy album here (my own considered view on said record can be found in yesterday's posts).

*Fed, Jon and Sissy up for eviction this week. Fed and Jon are both tits, but at least they are both making an effort to be interesting and stir things up amongst the placid, happy-clappy housemates. Sissy meanwhile has shown herself not to be hard-as-nails but a spoilt, simpering wretch. So Sissy to go then: if only for the prospect of her Carrie-like reaction to rejection involving drowning the other housemates in buckets of blood...
