Lori Heuring (top) and Susan Ward (bottom) pool their resources in The In Crowd

Caught Mary Lambert's The In Crowd on pay-per-view the other night. It's fair to say the film's appeal is fairly exclusive - it gets just 3.9/10 over at IMDB, but for me this psychological thriller set amongst the young and glamorous is pretty much the perfect guilty pleasure.

Think of it as Mulholland Drive for the MTV generation, with two young women from differing pasts and backgrounds thrown together in a plot of murder, intrigue, bisexuality and blurred identities. And even people who hate the film still have time for Susan Ward's performance as the jet-set queen bitch - playing the role to the hilt in all its' lip-smacking, scenery-chewing, rug-munching, back-stabbing glory.

Stardom beckons, methinks.
