It's back, it's back, it's good to be back...it's backchat! After a week away for last weekend's festival fun and frolics, the feedback-fantabulous feature returns with a mail from Brian advising me about the campaign to get a second hit for John (Cor Baby, That's Really Free) Otway to celebrate his 50th birthday some twenty-five years after his sole hit single to date.
Actually, I have covered this story before back in May. But it is worth an update because following a poll amongst his supporters, a song has finally been selected for this promotion, with Bunsen Burner proving to have the right chemistry with his fanbase. The campaign is already cooking gas over at the official site, the single is due for release on September 30th, and John has booked the London Palladium for October 6th in anticipation of finally becoming a two-hit wonder.
One snag though: because the single isn't really really free, you'll probably have to fork out about £2.99...
