And so what to say about Spiderman that hasn't already been said? Nowt really, but suffice to say it's a fun film that's surprisingly faithful to both the spirit and content of the original comicbook, and therein lies its strengths and weaknesses. The action and effects sequences are invariably exhilirating but its also a movie that possesses an ethical conundrum and an emotional wallop to boot. So it's recommended viewing for boys and girls. You'd have to be a pretty miserable mofo not to get some sort of kick out of it.
