Blame Blogger for the lack of updates last night. But as per usual when I haven't actually updated, my traffic hit the roof. Over 3,000 hits today alone thanks to people looking for pictures of a certain dead pop star. I also got an e-mail in response to my online strop about the reaction to La Lopes' demise, and some reasonable points were made which I'll share with you. He argued that there was nothing in the Fark and Metafilter users' comments that annoyed him that wouldn't have annoyed him if she were still alive. Of course, I would agree with that. My problem wasn't with the disrespect shown to Left Eye's death per se but the underlying misogyny and racism that seemed to be a fairly constant subtext to their remarks. And yes, misogyny and racism are deplorable whatever the context. I'm happy to clarify my views on that.

But I'm not the only one who likes Fanmail as much as Crazysexycool am I? Am I?

Anyway, time to let the poor girl rest in peace.
